Kristi Beunder

B.A., M.E. Des., RPP, MCIP

Urban + Regional Planner, Principal

Kristi is an urban planning specialist and brings thirty years of urban and rural planning experience encompassing a variety of projects from first-parcel out subdivisions to the planning and design of complete new communities. Kristi’s background in planning includes working in the public sector as a planner for several municipalities; now Kristi offers her experience and expertise to work with private landowners and municipalities to develop innovative, collaborative solutions that meet the needs of those involved. Kristi offers her clients a rich experience and knowledge in municipal land development and policy matters, as well as private sector land use planning approvals.

Sandra McElroy

Arch. Technologist

CAD Tech + Designer

Sandra McElroy Sandra has worked in the planning industry for over 25 years. She has experience in both small to medium size residential, commercial and industrial projects. Sandra has assisted in the design of everything from golf courses to mixed-use projects encompassing several thousand acres.

She has a strong grasp on the technical guidelines required by the City of Calgary, the Municipal Districts, and the towns within the greater Calgary area.

Sandra enjoys the creative and technical aspect of designing and takes great satisfaction in viewing the finished development.

Ivan Osorio-Avila

B. Ind. Des., M. Plan

Urban + Regional Planner

Born in Mexico and having lived in New York and Canada, Ivan holds a BA in Industrial Design from Mexico City’s UAM, partial studies in Product and Furniture Design at the Centre for Design, Television and Film in Mexico and a Master’s in Planning from the U of C.

He has been involved in social entrepreneurship, social innovation, planning and sustainable tourism projects in Mexico, the USA and Canada, as well as being a former first responder with Search & Rescue Mexico.

He is currently a full time urban and regional planner at Township Planning + Design in Calgary, Alberta and enjoys climbing, hiking and biking in Southern Alberta and wherever he can travel to.

Jenn Chesworth

Urban + Regional Planner,

Senior Planner

Jenn is a community planner with eight years of experience working with a variety of stakeholders including developers, landowners and municipalities on projects ranging from complex Area Structure Plans to land use amendments, subdivisions, and development permits.

Jenn has designed and implemented many community engagement programs of varying scopes. Prior to joining Township Planning + Design, Jenn worked as a development manager for a commercial and mixed-use developer and now provides clients with insight and perspective on the development considerations that are often overlooked during the planning process.

Robyn Erhardt

B. A., M. Plan

Urban + Regional Planner

Robyn has two years of experience as a rural and community planner including experience working with a rural municipality on long-term policy planning projects such as Area Structure Plans, Conceptual Schemes, and land use inventory research to guide policy development. Robyn’s experience includes preparing applications and Regional Evaluation Framework submissions to the CMRB for proposed statutory Area Structure Plans.

As a Planner with Township Planning + Design, Robyn has conducted several community engagement initiatives, each designed to connect with the diverse stakeholders through methods that best suit each stakeholder group. Robyn works closely with clients and stakeholders to develop collaborative planning solutions founded on research and data and supported by strong policy.

Brayden Libawski

Urban + Regional Planner,

Senior Planner

Brayden Libawski is a Senior Planner with over eight years of experience in planning, development, project management, and design within the private sector in both urban and rural contexts. Originally from the Greater Toronto Area, Brayden has worked on a wide variety of projects across various planning disciplines, including low, medium, and high-density residential development, industrial, manufacturing, commercial, mixed-use, recreational, agricultural, and infrastructure developments.

Brayden has supported, managed, and led projects at various scales in both urban and rural contexts, and has experience working with a variety of stakeholders, including developers, landowners, municipalities, and government officials. He has experience working through all steps of the planning and development process, from due diligence all the way to the construction of a new project.

As a Senior Planner with Township Planning + Design Inc., Brayden will continue to bring passion and enthusiasm to our projects and will work on creating meaningful, lasting relationships with our clients.

Amelia Iwanicki

B. Sc., M. Plan

Urban + Regional Planner

Amelia is a recent graduate from the University of Calgary, with deep knowledge and lived understanding of the local context. Throughout her studies, she worked on projects through various urban scales and had an extensive studio experience studying and critically analyzing the Calgary Metropolitan Region Board.

She has a creative and detailed nature that she applies to her planning and design work with Township Planning + Design. She has experience in tasks ranging from single-lot subdivisions, to master-planning communities. Her range of interests and experience is an asset she brings to her day-to-day planning tasks. Amelia works timely and collaboratively.
